Up for sale is a vintage 28 Brunette Hair SUZY Suzie PLAYPAL Child Companion Doll Ideal. Beautiful doll in great condition for age! Beautiful face light marks/dirt. Paint colors look great. Open and close eyes work as they should. All of her eyelashes are present, but some lashes look shorter than others, as pictured. I did not see any missing hair plugs on her dark curly hair. Her arms hold a pose. I believe she has been restrung. When I pull on her shoulders, I see a coil, rather than a cord, as pictured. Her legs are stiff and bend at the thighs. She is marked on the back of her head, Ideal Doll O B 28-5 and Ideal inside an oval on her back. There are two notable flaws. One is the crack in between her toes on one foot and there are some small dents on one of her lower legs. She is wearing a vintage outfit, unsure if it is original. Her white shirt has some light discolorations on it. Her red velvet dress is in great condition, along with her matching hat! Her diaper cover is loose and is tagged Alexis. Her socks are dingy. Her shoes are in fair condition with discolorations on the lace. The inside sole of one shoe is stamped Machine Washable and Dryable. Please keep in mind that we are not doll experts and have described this doll as best we can. She does have normal marks/scuffs from play. Please ask questions if needed. MDCC 2021 Dianna Effner Event Tribute Child Doll Little Darling Magalie Dawson. MDCC or Modern Doll Collectors Convention is one of the best doll events you can attend. Great people, great activities and great dolls. Dianna Effner was a big part of the convention for the past 6 or 7 years I think. She was kind, generous and took very good care of her collectors. Sadly she passed away in 2020 but she knew this was happening and she made preparations so that we could have one more year of her beautiful creations. The Guild will continue to do her dolls but Im not sure where MDCC will be in the equation. This is the Dianna Child doll to represent Dianna as a girl. Many of the elements of the costume were Dianas favorite elements. I wish I could remember the entirety of what was told to us at the welcome lunch by Magalie Dawson but Dianna for sure had a hand in the making of this doll. And tears came to most eyes when apparently Dianna was asked if she had a message for the MDCC collectors and she paused and said I wish you well. What an amazing woman caring for others as her final days approached. The doll in the photos is the doll you will get. If I still have her, a similar face sculpt was done for Ruby Red Galleria dolls by Dianna and I have a UFDC doll listed that was an edition of 50. Please note: The little hair net has been removed from the hair. The wig had slipped slightly and Magalie was so sweet and she fixed it for me. So the net is in the box, but not on the hair. Also, the brown outer shipper box does have slight damage. And the upper inside of the doll box seems to have a couple of scuff marks – I have no idea where those came from but if you are looking face front you can’t see them. If you look up at the doll you can. All of my items come from a smoke free home. LITTLE GIRLS WILL ADORE HER AS WILL THE COLLECTOR. This baby girl is Grace from bountiful baby. This kit was pre painted. I assembled her using a premium gathered doe skin body from bountiful baby. I have filled her limbs, head and body with poly pellets to insure it will be safe for a child. She is 16 long and wears preemie clothing which fit perfectly. This would be a perfect first reborn for a little girl, toddler, or the collector. My great granddaughter is 2 and she loves to look at my reborns babies but she is afraid of the weight. However she loves these as they are perfect for little ones. I will include a magnetic pacifier. I have another available (Katlyn) in other listing who takes a modified pacifier, also included. I have several of these assembled so just know that the outfits will vary. She will arrive in a diaper and t-shirt or onesie (styles vary)She will come with her lovey, pacifier, an outfit or sleeper, receiving blanket, and a 4 oz bottle. Ready for play or role play.
