This curly haired moppet is biracial with solid green eyes and a custom palette of Genesis Heat Set Paints to preserve and protect her finish for years and years and years. Mattia has a jointed white flannel body that was made specifically for the sculpt. She is 25 tall with a slight bend to her knees and weighs 5 pounds and 8 ounces. She is weighted with fine glass beads and smooth plastic pellets, firmed topped off with compressed fiberfill. The inner body construction has a packet of weighting material (plastic pellets) placed snuggly in her tushy. The packet provides weighting and a center of gravity to ensure that she can sit alone, unaided, without requiring being propped up against something. She has beautifully crafted, “expressive” open fingers. Mattia is filled with compacted fiberfill and also has a length of plastic link armature that is placed in the upper torso and extends into her head; the armature is a wonderful tool to ensure that her head will never droop, as well as allowing you to gently tip the head up and down. The finger and toe nails have a clean and neatly clipped appearance, finished with a coat of gloss to give a slight healthy shine. Mattia has a beautiful head of very curly 100% human that looks, feels and styles like ethnic hair. I opted to show her only with her hair down, styled with curly tendrils around her face and atop her head. Her solid glass green eyes are enchanced with rooted upper eye lashes. The bottom lid is painted/shaded for the appearance of lower lashes, to preserve her baby/young toddler appearance. Mattia is magnet free. Her fabulous hair has been sealed inside the head with an odorless glue. Use a wide tooth comb/pick to style her hair. I carefully dampen the hair and carefully cover her face/eyes to keep them dry. Apply spray-on hair conditioner/detangler made for ethnic hair; starting at the ends and using the pick, section the hair and ever so gently comb through it. You may prefer to leave the hair in its natural state or form small, medium and large curls sporadically on the head and around the face. Totally “wash and wear” hair! She radiates in the one piece flowered romper. She arrives with a pair of frilly socks, silver shoes and one oversized clippie bow, and all the cuteness that 25 inches can contain! The photographs of this little sweetheart don’t do her justice, each of my toddlers and babies are created to be the ultimate in realism. Many hours of love and dedication have gone into making this baby. She is a true collectors item. Baby’s skin tones have been achieved using Genesis heat set paints which will not fade or rub off. Many micro thin layers are used to build a wonderful textured appearance. There is no paint sat on the vinyl, it is cured so that only pigment remains. The creases and wrinkles are blushed to perfection. Baby has veining and capillaries, beneath the skin surface, adding to the true realism of this baby. There are slight blue undertones where the skin in normally thinner. Finished with a special mix of my own making I have given this baby textured skin so it is amazing lifelike. Baby’s little fingers and toenails have been lightly shaded, lighted tipped, and sealed with artist varnish. Baby’s lips have been realistically tinted and finished with a satin varnish to add just a touch of sheen. They look amazingly real. Filled with the heavy virgin fibre fill for a cuddly feel, and weighted with steel shot encased in a bag of fabric. The limbs are filled with the finest glass beads and top with fibrefill before before sealed. Baby has 3/4 arms and legs. Amazingly real skin tones. Painted hair so it always looks neat.
