I live in the cultural capital of the Russian North – the city of Vologda. «Happy» – my little creative workshop where I create realistic dolls and paint pictures. It took me a long time to make a doll that looked like a real child. She was painted with many layers of my own mixed Genesis heat set paints. She has delicate veins and capillaries. She has real looking 3D skin texture effect. The painting is fixed with a mixture of mediums. Legs, arms and body are weighted with glass beads and fiber fill. Phoenix does have magnet inside of her head. Phoenix is 21” long with 4/4 arms and legs. She wears 1-3 months size clothing. Mono – Rooted Mohair. Hair – mohair of three shades of blond. The hair is stitched one by one to the root. The eyes of the doll unique. They have the color blue. Let’s make it with my hands. To create the eye, I used materials: polyurethane, silicone, paints Genesis, resin jewelry. Genesis Paints drawn sclera, iris and capillaries. She has full arms and legs which are attached to a beige coloured specially made doe suede body. She has beautifully rooted auburn slumberland hair. That is swirled and thicker at the crown and finer towards the face. It is very true to life : It is finely painted underneath and directionally rooted so very easy to comb back into place after dressing her. She has true to life skin tones, veining and mottling, all painted with Genesis heat set paints and she is sealed with my unique blend to give a slightly textured but soft feel. She has finely rooted eyelashes. Nostrils have not been opened. Weighted perfectly using quality materials extra finely ground glass granules, clean stainless-steel balls, baby fat pellets, virgin fibre fill. NO SAND IS USED IN MY BABIES.
