Clyde has been created using one of the amazing Realborn kits that is a real baby replica, created directly from computer photometric scans of a real newborn baby. The realism and detail on this baby is absolutely stunning! I have given him the most beautiful translucent newborn complexion and the finest head of gorgeously fine newborn hair. Clyde is a prototype reborn from the’Clyde Awake’ Realborn Limited Edition kit produced by Bountiful Baby using photo scans from a real baby. Lovely 3/4 arms and full legs. Soft top quality doe suede body. Glorious, finest quality mohair. Entire baby weighted with specialist fillings. Felt lined, anatomically correct front plate with ribbon ties. Small newborn/large preemie baby size. Top quality hand blown deep blue Lauscha glass eyes with specially tinted schlera (white of the eye) typical of newborns. Superbly fine real hair eyelashes. Very realistic painted eyebrows. Beautifully coloured and textured’living’ skin. I have given little Clyde beautiful translucent colouring so typical of a relaxed yet alert newborn baby. His skin is soft and healthy with an abundance of delicate detail, he positively glows with life. Clyde is amazingly realistic and as much like a real baby as is possible to get! He has an anatomically correct front plate again coloured with great attention to detail that can be tied over his soft body and easily put on or off. His rosy fingertips and toes are exquisitely detailed with perfect nails and tiny half moons. I work with Genesis heat set paints in many painstaking layers which produce an amazingly realistic life-like satin baby skin finish that is totally durable and permanent. His skin is sealed with a specialised sealer to prevent the unnatural shine that occurs when the baby is dressed and undressed and provides a soft dewy finish. Clyde has a very realistic directionally rooted head of soft brown hair. I have carefully used two different types of hair to recreate the soft under hair present at birth and new growth of silkier stronger hair just like a real newborn. It really does behave like the hair of a real infant and does not need constant attention as can be seen in many of his photos.. His head has been carefully sealed inside with waterproof glue so that his lovely baby fine hair can be carefully washed and styled easily. I have given this gorgeous baby boy the most amazing realistic glass hand blown eyes and carefully applied real hair baby eyelashes together with delicately hand painted slightly’3d’ eyebrows. His sweet little mouth has a delicate touch of shine which is not overdone and he has tiny moist areas around his nostrils and eyes.
