We are excited to announce reborn baby doll “Gideon” is now available for adoption! This precious little boy came into the nursery as “Gideon” by Dawn McLeod. The kit to start out with was a blank neutral pale skin tone vinyl and was put through our reborn process to enhance his realism and lifelike, newborn look. Reborn: August 25, 2022. Multiple artistic techniques were used to achieve the desired biracial/ African American skin complexion for Gideon. The vinyl was colored on the outside to give the most realistic premature “blotchy” skin tones. This natural shade of coloring was created by using various shades of Genesis heat set paints, which I’ve applied over multiple layers to achieve the depth of detail and true to life look I envisioned. I handled him delicately, and spent extra time and care creating, enhancing, and developing his realistic features. Newborn size with full length vinyl arms and legs. Soft filled and weighted cloth body. Individually hand micro-rooted baby soft black hair using premium quality mohair. Meticulously hand micro-rooted eyelashes. Baby manicure & pedicure. Finest quality Genesis heat set painted details. Subtle realistic veining in appropriate places. Gideon is no longer considered a play doll, but a one of a kind, original “CPBN” baby/ collectible doll to be handed down from generation to generation.
