Gotz Romina (15) Early 1980s Collectors Doll
Gotz Romina (15) In excellent condition- but not as great as Twin brother listed. Please view other photos. Her limbs are looser, but she can still hold a pose. She can stand on her own. Note: the stand pictured is NOT included. Note the yellowing on her socks and the small mark on her leg. I believe this can be removed, but I will leave that to her new owner. Her hair is in braided buns. I believe the original hairstyle would have been in a braid over her head. These dolls are very rare, and the increase in value each year. I know Im at least the second owner. She was well cared for by the previous owner as well. This Vintage Gotz Modell Twin Dolls are thought to have been produced prior to 1986 though the official year is unknown. She measures 18 tall. More information: Gotz Dolls were manufactured in West Germany. The German Name for this doll is Gelenkuppe which means “Jointed Doll”. This doll is a hard-bodied doll. Her head, torso, and limbs are made of all vinyl. Romina dolls are considered to be the American Girl doll prototype. Pleasant Rowland, the founder of Pleasant Company bought the rights to this doll’s face mold for the original American Girl Dolls.
