Rare SAMIRA Steiff by Gotz All Vinyl Child Doll (2003) German Made, no papers
Rare SAMIRA “Steiff by Gotz” All Vinyl Child Doll (2003) German Made, no papers. Introducing SAMIRA from 2003, a wonderfully made all-vinyl German doll by Steiff and Gotz, both renowned doll manufacturers. SAMIRA is considered rare and hard to find. She stands about 23″ tall, is marked “Gotz 662″ on her neck and “Gotz 279 on her back. She is wearing her complete original outfit (with a few tweaks). Samira’s other outfit pieces include a floral top, rose colored skirt with attached slip, sheer hose, panties, pink socks and soft faux suede black tie-up booty like shoes. Samira has natural looking rooted long blonde hair and her face is perfectly sculpted and painted for the child doll that she is. Her eyes are the first thing you notice, radiant blue with real upper lashes. I see no issues with the doll or her outfit. I know she is a limited edition doll but no papers were with her so I don’t know how limited the Samira collection was, or her number in the series. I do know she is a very beautiful child doll. I changed up Samira’s hair a little bit, added a braid with firefly accent at the back and switched out the barrette for a firefly at the side. The original barrette is in the box. I added the seashell necklace to accent her jacket and top. Her original Steiff box (brown color for 2003) is 26 long, a little bent, has a couple of small tears, and the closure tab looks worn. I have tape repaired these issues and it looks much better. There are a lot of pictures so please zoom in and enjoy each one. The doll is in great condition, stands on her own, is quite beautiful, and photogenic. Everything is here except her original papers. Vintage 28 Brunette Hair SUZY Suzie PLAYPAL Child Companion Doll Ideal 1959-on
Up for sale is a vintage 28 Brunette Hair SUZY Suzie PLAYPAL Child Companion Doll Ideal. Beautiful doll in great condition for age! Beautiful face light marks/dirt. Paint colors look great. Open and close eyes work as they should. All of her eyelashes are present, but some lashes look shorter than others, as pictured. I did not see any missing hair plugs on her dark curly hair. Her arms hold a pose. I believe she has been restrung. When I pull on her shoulders, I see a coil, rather than a cord, as pictured. Her legs are stiff and bend at the thighs. She is marked on the back of her head, Ideal Doll O B 28-5 and Ideal inside an oval on her back. There are two notable flaws. One is the crack in between her toes on one foot and there are some small dents on one of her lower legs. She is wearing a vintage outfit, unsure if it is original. Her white shirt has some light discolorations on it. Her red velvet dress is in great condition, along with her matching hat! Her diaper cover is loose and is tagged Alexis. Her socks are dingy. Her shoes are in fair condition with discolorations on the lace. The inside sole of one shoe is stamped Machine Washable and Dryable. Please keep in mind that we are not doll experts and have described this doll as best we can. She does have normal marks/scuffs from play. Please ask questions if needed.
