1991 Dreamer-Like Molly Vintage Pleasant Company American Girl Doll with Meet Outfit. Rare and hard to find. This beautiful vintage doll has been dated at 1991, so while she has a tan body, she’s very close in age to white body dolls, with many of the same features like soft squishy vinyl, a chubby body, soft brown eyelashes, and finer hair. She has a special unique feature of Dreamer-Like eyes, where her irises are a bit smaller and she appears to be gazing up. This is a very hard to find feature, usually found only in (very expensive) 1987 white body dolls. Molly is all original, I got her from her original owner who received her as a child, and no repair or restoration work has been done on her. She is in excellent condition, particularly for her age, with soft, beautiful hair that’s never been cut. There’s a bit of dryness at the ends, as is to be expected, but nothing major. Her wig is thinner than newer dolls, consistent with her date. She has an early wig cap and neck stamp that aided in her dating. Molly has no marks on her soft vinyl or cloth body, not even age spots. No silver eye, as is so common for older dolls. Her lashes are soft and full. She has somewhat loose limbs but can stand unassisted. She will come with her original meet outfit, including her sweater, skirt, collar, bloomers, and shoes.
